Attorneys Register Here to Obtain New Certifications Required for Bankruptcy by Email

Welcome to the Consumer Financial Education Foundation of America's Attorney Registration Page!

This page will enable you to register clients via a code you create with our system, receive certificates automatically via email, monitor your client's progress and view a current invoicing system for your bookkeeping purposes.

1. Accounts Management Screen

Click this tab to register your office with our system.  You will pick a "User Registration Password" for your firm which you will give to your clients to access our system as an "Attorney Code".  This code will enable the clients to access our system for purposes of receiving certificates for both credit counseling and debtor education. Clients will only be able to access their own account with us; however, you will be able to view their progress, obtain copies of certificates issued and keep track of payments for billing purposes. With this system, you can register clients from your office or from a remote location.

You may also change your user registration password ("attorney") code at any time from this Accounts Management Screen.  Please note that if you change this code, any current users attempting to register with the old code will be not be able to access the system, and you will have to give the new code to current clients that have not completed the process.

2.  Attorney Invoicing Screen

Click this tab to view a current balance of your account with us. All clients registered with our system that uses your attorney code that do not pay with either a credit card or through paypal will generate a charge to your account that will be automatically billed on whatever regular basis you choose.  Registering with our system and requesting that we bill you for the clients you refer constitutes an agreement that you will collect the fees for our services from the individuals you refer to our agency and remit payment upon receipt of our invoice. You may view a current balance of your account with us at any time by logging into your account and clicking this tab.

Registering with our system and giving the client your personal attorney code also constitutes an agreement between your office and CFEFA that you have verified the identity of the client(s).

3.  Monitoring Your Client's Progress

By selecting the "Moderation Screen Tab", you will be able to view all clients currently associated with your account having open applications. You may search for your client's file by either name, email address or application date.  To view the specific progress of an application, you can open a client's file by clicking anywhere on the row.  You may assist a client from your office by editing or adding to a client's application and save that data.

You will see users in three separate status states during their application processes.  "Pending" is the first state in the application process. This means that the user has not completed all the steps towards certification.  "Awaiting Confirmation" means that a client's application is finished and awaiting approval for the staff at CFEFA to issue the appropriate certificate.  Once the certificate is issued, the third status appears as "Completed".  When this occurs, you and the user will receive a copy of those certificates by email.

You close this by checking the record and clicking "Close File." This will move the record to your unique file history of closed files.
